Gate stopped working? We will get it moving.
Most faults we see are the same handful of problems. We carry the common parts, so a lot of jobs are fixed on the first visit rather than becoming a two-trip saga.
Gate will not open or close
Motor failure, seized hinges, snapped drive arms, or a control board that has taken a hit from damp or a power surge.
Opens part way then stops
Usually a safety device doing its job: a dirty or misaligned photocell, or force limits that have drifted out of adjustment.
Remote or keypad dead
Batteries, receiver faults, lost programming after a power cut, or an intercom that has stopped talking to the gate.
Noisy, juddering or slow
Worn bearings, dry hinges, ground movement pulling the posts out of line, or a motor nearing the end of its life.
Manual gate dropped or damaged
Worn hinges, rotten or leaning posts, broken latches and locks. We re-hang, re-post and re-fit manual gates of every kind.
Storm or vehicle damage
Bent leaves, damaged posts and twisted hardware. We will tell you honestly what is worth repairing and what is not.
Gate is unsafe
If the gate is trapping, crushing or running without working safety devices, stop using it and call us. We can make it safe.
Annual servicing
A planned service visit keeps an automated gate safe, reliable and compliant, and catches small faults before they become big ones.
What a repair visit involves
Straightforward, and you will know the cost before we start any work.
- We diagnose the actual fault, not a guess over the phone. Mechanical, electrical and control system all checked.
- You get a price before we proceed. If parts are needed we tell you what and why, and what it will cost.
- Safety devices tested and force tested to BS EN 12453 and BS EN 12445 before we leave.
- Written report of what we found, what we did, and anything you should keep an eye on.
- Twelve month workmanship warranty on the repair.
