Every call-out includes travel and the first hour on site. If parts or further work are needed, you get a fixed written price first. Nothing extra is charged without your yes.

Call us for a price for your service. It depends on what kind of gate you have: a manual pedestrian gate is a very different job from a large pair of automated swing gates, so we price each service for the gate in front of us.
An automated gate service includes a safety force test, photocell and safety edge checks, motor and controls check, lubrication and a short written report. A manual gate service covers hinges, alignment, latch and lubrication. Any parts needed are priced first.

Is it an emergency?

Gate not working? We will get it moving.
Manual or electric, most faults we see are the same handful of problems. We carry the common parts and do our own welding and fabrication, so a lot of jobs are fixed on the first visit rather than becoming a two-trip saga.
Electric gate will not open or close
Motor failure, seized hinges, snapped drive arms, or a control board that has taken a hit from damp or a power surge.
Opens part way then stops
Usually a safety device doing its job: a dirty or misaligned photocell, or force limits that have drifted out of adjustment.
Remote or keypad dead
Batteries, receiver faults, lost programming after a power cut, or an intercom that has stopped talking to the gate.
Noisy, juddering or slow
Worn bearings, dry hinges, ground movement pulling the posts out of line, or a motor nearing the end of its life.
Manual gate dropped or damaged
A gate that has dropped, scrapes the ground or will not close. We re-hang, re-post and re-fit manual gates of every kind, steel, aluminium or composite, side gates and driveway gates.
Hinges, latches and locks
Worn or broken hinges, gates that will not latch, snapped bolts and failed locks. Replaced or repaired, and the gate re-hung so it swings and closes as it should.
Leaning or broken posts
Posts that have moved, rusted through at the base or been knocked. We re-set, replace and re-concrete posts, then re-hang the gate to suit.
Welding and metal repairs
Cracked welds, bent frames, rusted bars and damaged infill. Repaired on site or in our Bradford workshop, then primed and re-coated so the repair does not show.
Sliding gate tracks and rollers
Worn rollers, blocked or damaged tracks, and cantilever gates that have dropped at the nose. Realigned, parts replaced and running smoothly again.
Storm or vehicle damage
Bent leaves, damaged posts and twisted hardware. We will tell you honestly what is worth repairing and what is not.
Gate is unsafe
If the gate is trapping, crushing or running without working safety devices, stop using it and call us. We can make it safe.
Annual gate servicing
A planned service visit keeps a manual or automated gate safe, reliable and compliant, and catches small faults before they become big ones.
What a gate repair visit involves
Straightforward, and you will know the cost before we start any work.
- We diagnose the actual fault, not a guess over the phone. Mechanical, electrical and control system all checked.
- You get a price before we proceed. If parts are needed we tell you what and why, and what it will cost.
- Safety devices tested and force tested to BS EN 12453 and BS EN 12445 before we leave.
- Written report of what we found, what we did, and anything you should keep an eye on.
- Twelve month workmanship warranty on the repair.
The automation we fit
Only the best motors: Benincà, Nice and BFT
Every gate we automate is fitted with a Benincà, Nice or BFT motor and control system. They are the three makes the industry trusts, they are built to last, and each comes with a proper manufacturer warranty: 30 months on Benincà, three years on Nice and BFT, and BFT extend it to five years with an annual service.
Plenty of firms fit cheaper unbranded imports to win the job on price. We do not. We would rather fit the right kit once, with a warranty that means something, than cut corners you pay for later. Quality over margin, every time.

How quickly can you get out?
Usually within a day or two across Bradford, Leeds and West Yorkshire, and sooner if the gate is stuck open or unsafe. Send a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight away when we can be there.
Do you charge a call-out?
We tell you the call-out charge before we book, so there are no surprises. If parts are needed we quote them before fitting anything.
Can you repair a gate you did not install?
Yes. Any make, any age, manual or automatic. We carry the common parts and can source most others.
Do you repair manual gates as well as electric ones?
Yes. Dropped or sagging gates, worn hinges, broken latches and locks, leaning posts, welding repairs and re-coating on steel, aluminium and composite gates, side gates and driveway gates. Servicing is priced for the gate in front of us, so call us for a price.
Which gate motor makes do you repair?
All the main makes, including FAAC, BFT, Nice, CAME, Sommer and LiftMaster, plus older systems. We repair what can be repaired and replace what cannot, and we do not push you into a whole new system when a part will do.
Do you cover Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield as well as Bradford?
Yes. We are based in Bradford and repair gates across Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Harrogate, York and the rest of Yorkshire, usually within a day or two.
My gate is stuck open or will not close. What should I do?
Put it on manual release if it has one and leave it, do not force it. Send us a photo or ring and we will prioritise it.
Do you service electric and automatic gates?
Yes. Annual servicing with safety and force testing, and a written report of anything that needs watching. It is priced for the gate in front of us, so call us for a price.
